The First Christian Church will now have only One Blended Worship Service with Sunday School starting at and the Blended Worship Service starting at .
2008 Thanksgiving Special Offering to be received November 16th & 23rd. Our Goal is $700. Leadership is vital to a strong future. Give generously, and support Disciples leadership development through our Colleges, Universities, Seminaries, and Divinity Houses.

Logos still needs help with the after school program each Wednesday at . Help is especially needed with the cooking. Groups or individuals may choose one week a month if desired. Contact the church office, Bridget Cody or Conita Burden of your desire to help.
Every Wednesday at First Christian- Operation Blessing at 9:00 am at the Blessing House, Logos After school Program at 3:30pm, Church Family Supper is served at 6:00pm followed by Chi Rho Meeting at 6:00 pm. Youth Bible Study at 7:00 pm and Chancel Choir Rehearsal (Sanctuary) at 7:15 pm. Come join us
Join The Choir – If you enjoy singing the church choir would love to have you join them for rehearsals each Wednesday evening at 7:15 pm.

Angels Are Coming November 23rd to fill our 21st Annual Christmas Angel Tree. Each angel represents a gift you can help provide to give a helping hand to families needing help this Christmas. We will also be gathering food for the Christmas Baskets. Details will be on this webpage at a later date.

Wellington Community Thanksgiving Dinner will be held at noon Thanksgiving Day at the First United Methodist Church, to help brighten the day for not only those in financial need who might otherwise not have a Thanksgiving dinner, but also those who in need of fellowship who would have spent the holiday alone. Help is needed to provide salads, desserts, and casserole dishes to complement the ham, turkey, potatoes, hot rolls and vegetables that will be provided. Food dishes need to be to the west Methodist church kitchen door between 4 and 8 pm on Wednesday, November 26th. For more information call Shirley Musson at the Food Bank, 326-5301, Monday, Wednesday or Friday mornings or her home 326-7204. Your help is needed and appreciated.
The Elders Are Asking the church family to write Advent Devotions for our annual devotional book. Sign up sheets have been passed in Sunday School classes and are now in the foyer of the church for your convenience.
Church Yearbooks are available in the church office.
Webmaster Needs Pictures of Church Activities – If you have pictures of church activities please email them to fccwgtnks@yahoo.com so they might be put on the website.
Email Addresses Needed – Would you like to be notified of church meetings by email? If so, please give the church office your email address. Either put your address in the offering tray or bring it to the church office. We would especially like to have the email address of elders, deacons and board members.
Tape Ministry – Once again we will be taking tapes of the traditional worship service to shut-ins who wish to receive them.
Wellington Food Bank is in need of milk (any kind), dried beans and sugar. Items may be brought to the church or left at the Food Bank.
Church Library “reorganization” is Complete. Directions for checking a book out a returning it are posted in the library. There are many new books and lots of resources for Bible study.
Hospice Care of Kansas – needs your help. Volunteers are a very important part of the team approach to the care and comfort of our patients. Volunteers help create a caring environment for both patient and the family. As a volunteer you might provide respite for a caregiver, read to the patient, or just talk and become a friend. If You Need a ride to a doctor’s appointment or a hair appointment, someone to pick up a prescription or a package, or changed a light bulb or a few items from the grocery store, you will find help available. Several women in the church are offering assistance as a “Care Chain” to meet these or other similar occasional needs for assistance. Anyone interested in this help should call the church office, and Alberta will contact someone on the “Care Chain” or provide a number for you to call.
